SEDEP Guesthouse

What can you do?

Sedep Guest House — comfort and true Kyrgyz hospitality in Osh. Located just 15 minutes from the city center, our guest house offers a peaceful atmosphere, comfortable rooms with orthopedic mattresses, and homemade cuisine. The highlight of Sedep is cultural immersion. We invite our guests to take part in a master class on cooking authentic Uzgen pilaf. Together with the hostess, you will go through all the stages — from preparing the ingredients to serving the fragrant dish at a shared table in beautiful traditional ceramic tableware. After the master class, you will enjoy a friendly dinner, where you can share the meal, connect with others, and get to know the traditions of southern Kyrgyzstan. With us, guests receive not only a comfortable stay but also a warm experience of communication and new discoveries.

During your stay at Sedep Guesthouse, you won’t feel like just a guest, but part of a big family. You can pick fresh ingredients at the local bazaar, peel carrots with the hostess, wash the famous Uzgen rice, and light the fire under the kazan. Stirring rice and meat with energy, you’ll become a true participant in cooking traditional plov, not just a spectator. After the master class, you will enjoy dinner at the shared table. Plov is served in handmade ceramic dishes crafted by uzbek artisans — making the meal not only delicious, but also special, filled with tradition and warmth. In your free time at the guesthouse, you can brew tea in the cozy kitchen, read a book in peace, or simply chat with other guests, just like at home.

What is included in the price?

Accommodation and participation in the master class are paid separately. The price of the master class includes all necessary products and ingredients for its implementation. Accommodation provides comfortable lodging, access to basic guesthouse amenities, and an atmosphere that enhances your immersion in the master class experience.

Meet the organizer:

My name is Umut, and I lovingly run the Sedep guesthouse. My daughters help welcome guests and speak English and Chinese fluently, making your stay easy and comfortable. Together, we create master classes and events where guests not only learn, but fully immerse themselves in the atmosphere of Kyrgyz traditions, culture, and culinary arts.
